In 1960, Jeff’s parents built their forever home in Hampstead, a place he continues to call home today. Jeff grew up biking through the town, attending Hampstead School, and spending his free time at the Park playing softball, tennis, and hockey.

Even as a child, Jeff was active in the community. In the early 1970s, he led a youth campaign to allow children to play tennis in the evenings and later served as Chair of the Hampstead Municipal & Recreation Association (HM&RA). The positive role the town played during his formative years inspired him to raise his own family here as well.

After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Jeff attended McGill University earning his professional designation as a Chartered Accountant (CPA). He spent ten years with Zittrer Ziblin Stein Levine (which eventually became Ernst & Young) before moving in-house, where he first served as Chief Financial Officer and later co-owner of Silver Star Mercedes-Benz.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Jeff has always valued giving back to the community. He has volunteered on numerous educational and non-profit committees, including the Bialik Finance Committee and as a board member for Elm Ridge Country Club.

Jeff is an avid golfer, boater, and skier, and a proud “papa” to his three granddaughters. He enjoys walking his four-year-old Sheepadoodle, Brody, with his wife Jackie, and cherishes all the time he can spend with his three children: Erin, Warren, and Kevin.

Inspired by his son Warren’s 12 years of service as a city councillor, Jeff is now ready to give back. Witnessing firsthand the impact a councillor can have on residents, he is confident that his professional expertise and dedication can help ensure Hampstead continues to deliver the services its residents value most.
